The MP79S Inner Guard Protection is a 4 mm white HDPE guard liner moulded to fit the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series single cab and dual cab, for vehicles working in mining, exploration and off-road environments.
Fitted as a protective barrier over the vehicle's inner guard area, the MP79S takes the punishment that would otherwise land on the panel itself — gravel strike, abrasion, mud packing and the corrosive wear that comes from prolonged exposure to harsh mine-site conditions.
Mine-site ground material carries varying minerals, salts and chemical compounds that accelerate erosion and corrosion of exposed vehicle components. HDPE is chemically inert, non-corroding and highly abrasion resistant, so it absorbs that exposure without breaking down the way painted steel does. The white finish also reflects available light into the guard cavity, which makes a noticeable difference when inspecting or servicing a vehicle underground.
The MP79S is supplied in left and right sets, with two halves per side. Each half is moulded to the contour of the inner guard and locates on the vehicle's existing bolt holes, so fitment requires no drilling, cutting or modification to the body. Because the liner follows the panel closely, there is no cavity for mud and debris to pack in behind it. At 4 mm the panels are light enough to handle and fit single-handed in tight underground workshop conditions, and a single damaged half can be replaced rather than the complete liner.
